Piet Mondrian meets CSS Grids

I was looking for a project to teach myself how to use CSS Grids and after visiting the National Gallery of Canada I decided that reproducing works by Piet Mondrian would be a fun place to start.

This simple webpage was built as a graphical representation of what could be achieved quickly with CSS Grids as a layout tool.
